On September 26th the EIA stated in their Natural Gas Weekly Update that flows out of the Northeast have averaged more than 16 billion cubic feet per day during September! This is 1 – 2 Bcf/d higher than the previous month and shows how the economics for transporting volumes have shifted. For the Midwest, flows directly from the Northeast have grown from 5.1 Bcf/d to 5.7 Bcf/d with most of that attributed to increased utilization of the Rover and Rockies Express pipelines.
